Kunstcatalogus | 52 Diana Large’s artist statement "I am a Contemporary Artist and Designer with a unique and dynamic sense of color. My paintings are characterized by bold, vibrant hues and abstract shapes that seem to dance and play together on the canvas. My art is heavily influence by my interest in the natural world and the way in which different colors and forms interact and complement each other. I am Colombian at heart and had the chance to live in different countries with inspiring cultures and history. Hence my art is a projection of my journey through the USA, UK, France and the Netherlands where I am currently based. Becoming an artist has been a journey of selfdiscovery As a child, I was always fascinated by colors. Growing up in Colombia's vibrant landscapes, I was surrounded by an infinite variety of colors, beautiful rainforests, bright blooms of exotic flowers, and richly colored traditions were a continual source of inspiration. Each sunset over the Andes Mountains, each vibrant festival, and every piece of traditional Colombian textile revealed a story in color, stimulating my imagination.
