Saint-Martin Les ponts Drawbridges Le pont de Sandy Ground Sandy Ground bridge Ouverture : 9h00, 14h30 et 17h30, lundi au samedi. 9h00 et 17h30 dimanche et jours fériés. L’entrée dans le lagon de Simpson Bay est possible grâce à deux ponts levants, l’un à Sandy Ground (partie française), gratuit, l’autre à Simpson Bay (partie hollandaise), payant (voir tarifs page 50). Un troisième pont, tournant, situé dans le lagon entre les deux ponts levants, fonctionne depuis décembre 2013 (voir détails page 52). Un chenal balisé de 2,50 mètres de profondeur existe entre la partie française et la partie hollandaise du lagon. Il est préférable de l’emprunter de jour et à vitesse réduite. Les bateaux sortants ont la priorité. Le passage est gratuit. Contact : VHF16 aux heures d’ouverture. La Marina Port la Royale est responsable de l’ouverture du pont (renseignements à la capitainerie au 05 90 87 20 43) Largeur : 10m (30ft). Profondeur : 3,50m à 3,80m (10,6ft to 11,5ft). Tirant d’air : 2,90m à 3,30m (8,7ft to 10ft). Vitesse limite : 3 nœuds. A third bridge, a swing bridge, located inside the lagoon between the two lift bridges, exists since December 2013 (see details on page 52). There is a 8ft deep channel between the French and the Dutch side of Simpson Bay lagoon. It is better to use it during the day and at reduced speed.
