Statia Sentiers de randonnée Hiking trails Au Sud de l'île se trouve un volcan relativement jeune et parfaitement formé : "The Quill". Classé en Parc national, il est géré par la Fondation des parcs nationaux de St-Eustache (STENAPA) et s'élève à une hauteur de 600 mètres. Le cratère abrite une forêt semi-tropicale et rend l'excursion particulièrement intéressante. Une fois arrivé au bord du cratère, descendez explorer la luxuriante végétation qui le tapisse. À l'intérieur, vous pourrez admirer les gigantesques cotonniers et les arbres fruitiers, qui forment une belle canopée, et découvrir au moins 17 sortes d'orchidées. Vous croiserez peut-être des iguanes, At the South end area of the island, lies a quite young, perfectly formed volcano: "The Quill". As a National Park, it is managed by St. Eustatius National Parks Foundation (STENAPA) and soars dramatically to a height of 2000 feet. The crater contains semi-tropical rainforest; an intriguing hiking expedition. After you have made the ascent to the crater rim, explore the verdant lush tropical rainforest, nestled within its enormous crater. Inside the crater you can enjoy gazing up at the gigantic silk cotton and fruit trees that tower the canopy. There are at least 17 different kinds of orchids.
